Board Positions:

Board of Appeals alternate member-Must be qualified elector of the township and cannot be an employee or contractor of the township. Alternates serve in event of declared conflict of interest or absence of regular member. This board meets on an 'as needed basis'. Meetings of Board of Appeals is for anyone who wishes to appeal for a (non-use) variance from any ordinance provision or appeal any final decision of the Zoning Administrator or Planning Commission. They also interpret the zoning map and rule on non-conforming uses and structures whenever the determination of the Zoning Administrator is appealed. 

Planning Commission alternate member- Alternates serve in event of declared conflict of interest or absence of regular member.  The Planning Commission meets a minimum of 4 meetings a year. The PC board is responsible in developing/reviewing the master plan and the zoning ordinance to protect and enhance the public health, safety and welfare of the township. Other duties of the PC are to review various land use applications such as site plans, special use permits, and rezoning request. PC members hold a three-year term.
